It is always eye-opening, especially now that we feed our dogs only Napa Fresh, to review the ingredients list on products labeled "natural dog food" with "all natural ingredients" "healthy", then compare with the ingredients list of Napa Fresh.
For example, here is the ingredients list of Napa Fresh Yummy Chicken:
Fresh USDA inspected hormone free chicken legs & thighs, fresh USDA inspected hearts & gizzards, fresh zucchini, summer squash, kale, carrots, apples, whole milk organic yogurt, organic vegetarian fed eggs, ground flaxseed, alfalfa powder, garlic.

And....here is the ingredients list for one of the popular dog foods, labeled "chicken", that comes in a blue bag (hint, hint). You will note that there is no such thing as "fresh, human grade" anything, and that ingredients are actually dry, processed powders from questionable sources, waste from the human food industry, and some things that defy description. The weights of all of the ingredients that are carbs and starches, will far outweigh more anything labeled "chicken". No wonder so many dogs suffer needlessly:
